10 Principles To Optimize Your Life
The timeless principles are natural laws that govern the development of life, personal and affective relationships. Not simply represent the values of a company or person. The values of a society can be diverted at a time certain of the principles, but principles never cease to be or become outdated. They are not a fad, as they apply in every place and time. The principles are fundamental and universal guidelines. There is a difference between living by practices and principles to live by. Practices may be valid at any given time, but may become outdated as society advances. The principles do not change are part of the human condition and his best legacy.
Learning to live by principles of learning involves a process that lasts a lifetime. The principles do not represent quick and easy recipes. There are no instant solutions to fundamental problems cosmetic. Living by principles may demand a paradigm shift and significant life, a way of seeing life and relationships very different from our perspective and current criteria, but in turn are a source of growth and lasting success and authentic.
OPTIMIZARE: The fundamental principles for a successful life authentic.
The principles below are part of the system board personal leadership OPTMIZARE, formulated by Dr. Ron Jenson in his book How To Achieve True Success. The selection of this set of principles grouped under the acronym OPTIMIZARE represents more than a proposal worthy and valuable principles, a system of leadership for personal and organizational effectiveness.
OPTIMIZARE is a personal leadership development towards enhancing the skills and talents of people, improve performance and productivity at work and professional. His philosophy is aimed at expanding the capacity to teach staff to create the desired results. OPTIMIZARE aims to produce self-mastery in people so that they become agents of change and transformation.
Principles for optimizing your life.
The principles OPTIMIZARE are classified into three categories: Attitudes, Beliefs and Commitments. The same Dr. Ron Jenson plasma as follows:
"Attitudes. Convictions. Commitments. The power of these three categories comes when you align and harmonize with each other. Some people have good attitudes, but they lack the commitment and dedication to persevere. Others have strong convictions but their negative attitudes sabotage your success authentic. There are others who are strong and can volitionally aim to achieve things, but fail repeatedly because their system of beliefs or attitudes are inhibited?.
Principles associated with attitudes:
1. Choose to initiate the action.
Do I take responsibility for my life and I am a person who makes the difference?
There are people who expect things to happen and there are people who make things happen. Many assume his role in life as mere spectators, or at best as extras, but others choose to become major players - players. There are people who leave their results to chance, the play of circumstances, the inertia of events or decisions of others, but people optimize their lives take responsibility for things to happen. These people make their own opportunities and not waste the opportunities that present themselves are more committed in the pursuit of opportunities.
Many people live their lives as victims. Blame for their current condition, their parents, the state, the stars, or the destination. But as we live our lives as victims, we are not responsible for our actions, nor take responsibility for our future.
We can not control what happened to us in the past: the abuse of which we were subjected, the lack of economic resources that we experience in childhood, lack of parental love, and so on. But if we choose to take responsibility for our attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. We can choose between being slaves of the past or be free to grow and thrive. In this regard the psychologist Albert Ellis says: "The best years of his life are those in which you decide your problems are yours alone. So do not blame her mother, the ecology or the president. You'll notice that you control your own destiny.?
The action is the best cure for indecision. Gordon Graham said: "The decision is a sharp knife to cut smoothly and precisely, the indecision is a dull knife that cuts and tears, leaving ragged edges?. Optimize life requires action, determination and initiative. The action is the best remedy against diseases of passive people: Indolence, excusitis, uncertainty and fear. It is also an effective catalyst for enthusiasm, faith and activation of dreams.
Need to improve our ability to make decisions, and take a proactive, not reactive. There are people who differ both their unfinished business, perhaps hoping that the random time or solve them, which never progress or achieve their basic objectives.
2. I will try to achieve personal meaning.
Do I understand my strengths and my areas of weakness? Do I have a personal mission statement?
We are unique as a person. We have a combination of talents, skills, opportunities, experience and unique personality and unique. In that sense Dr. Victor Frankl says: "Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life ... it can not be replaced [the person], or his life be repeated. So the task of each is as unique as his specific opportunity to implement it?.
We are in this life with a purpose. The search for meaning is the most important endeavor of life. As Albert Camus said: "The meaning of life is the most pressing question?. The belief that life has no meaning is related to the difficulty experienced by human beings to find that meaning, to get the correspondence between the need for meaning that resides in us with something in the outside world that legitimizes this regard that then contained within us. But the greater the awareness, knowledge, contacts and personal experience for the purpose of life identified the deeper motivation, expectation, appetite, the urge and determination to move towards achieving the meaning of life we have assumed. The purpose of life gives it an incentive and a "sense of urgency? to live according to that meaning. One purpose of life also moves us to set priorities and live with an intentional focus, with the certainty of living the life we want to live, and with the conviction of not wasting life.
Having a sense of living fills it [life] of enthusiasm and passion, which translates into excitement with a sense of direction. One meaning of life provides a sense of wholeness and well-being and profoundly affects the way we live, while serving as a fulcrum for the development of our potential as human beings.
This meaning comes to life as they become aware of who you are: needs, talents, skills, dreams, and needs of the surrounding environment. This crossing activates your sense of destiny.
3. Try to eliminate the negative in my life.
To adopt the problems as positive opportunities to grow?
Attitudes are more important than facts, said Dr. Karl Menniger. Also, he notes that William James, "The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by changing attitudes of your mind?.
The attitude assumed by every day life is the most important decision you can take each morning upon arising. His attitude and actions influence these results. There are circumstances or events are going through that happen to us that determine the results, is the attitude with which we react that makes the difference.
The mental attitude is a choice, it is an attitude towards life. Once you choose a certain position, it creates in you a willingness to see life according to that position. We can choose to focus on the positive side or negative side of life. There are people who only see problems in what they do, others do see in every situation, including adverse, an opportunity. There are people who can only think of the negative, their minds have been used to filter out only the bad, so full of pessimism living, while others choose to emphasize the hopeful side of life and see the opportunities.
Now the attitude is not mere phrases, such cliché, sometimes naive, that you repeat to convince of something or to deny or distract from the reality they are living. For more you repeat phrases "encouraging?: I am the best, all I can, etc., the situation will not change as if by magic. In fact, a positive attitude will not get rid of the real obstacles in his life, but if you put your mind in the best state of mind to face them.
A positive attitude helps your mind to think freely, making the ideas and solutions emerge to the surface. Stephen R. Covey says, "The right attitude allows our answer is the level of challenge that we have to face?.
Principles associated with convictions:
4. Internalizaré correct principles.
How do the right thing? Do I tend to focus my life on sound principles?
"You never know that a line crooked unless he has a line to compare?. Socrates.
The principles are infallible guides. The principles are so obvious to think about living life without them life would be absurd. Think how life would be if there were no truth, justice, love and diligence.
The key is to identify and adopt principles of effectiveness in your life and business. This ensures stability, meaning and lasting success. Now to identify and adopt universal principles of effectiveness, we need to change many of our maps and current paradigms. Dr. Ron Jenson proposes the following scheme for this purpose:
V erifique personales.A values rticle their own ethical and philosophical matrix for the ogre vida.L learn the correct perspectives of their values asuntos.O orders correctas.R actions and evaluate their crecimiento.A evisa others with COPE these truths (the principles).
5. Firm will march to execute my mission.
Do I understand and I passionately the mission of my life? I set goals for my life? I have a feedback system to check my progress? Have I written the values that are important to me? How do I want to be remembered?
A mission statement is like a beacon that guides you along the way. It is also a source of motivation and enthusiasm to start and continue the action. Also, having a mission helps you keep your life focused.
But the mission must be structured targets to operationalize. Dreams are goals without simple activities without goals and dreams are illusions, illusions. A goal is a dream with a deadline. The goal is a goal, purpose or sense of direction which directs all his energies, desires and efforts. Are the targets toward which she approaches her life. One goal involves the planned and organized effort that wants to be and achieve in life. A person who has goals in life direction, sets priorities, full of energy and courage, is more creative and more persistent search results.
But setting goals is a rigorous exercise. Goals are not vague or ambiguous purposes. The better defined our goals are more likely to succeed will set goals How appropriate? For this purpose we use the acronym GOALS:
Measurable in detalles.Trazadas resultados.Específicas in black and white (written). Achievable in your personal aspiración.Supremamente.
Now, in what areas will meet the mission? The answer is related to their roles in life and the basic areas of life, such as Fe, fitness, family, friends, finances, work and recreation. How does each of you in these areas? Are they integrated?
Principles associated with the commitments:
6. Tota will integrate my life to achieve success.
Do I keep all the vital areas of my life in balance?
Success must be balanced. You can not be considered a successful person if your company just launched a great time, but his family is a failure and your health is a disaster.
We need to restore balance in our lives. This is achieved by integrating our lives. Amid the pressures of modern society, it is a real challenge to balance our priorities. Our agendas are overcrowded and time does not give up. It seems that we need 30-hour days. The key to balance our priorities is to learn to integrate our lives. The figure illustrates a puzzle life interesting. For some people - successful people - each piece fits into the proper place. The image is of a puzzle is completed, integrated. This metaphor is equivalent to an integrated, comprehensive and balanced. But sometimes our lives are like a medium build puzzles with many pieces scattered, no location. The image is of a figure is incomplete, fragmented and life balance.
Success in life is to know to balance our priorities and learn to put them in order of importance. A life is a life fragmented dysfunctional and ineffective. If we fail to integrate all areas of our lives, we live in an incomplete and permanent dissatisfaction. Each of the areas of our life must be balanced and integrated: Spiritual life (faith, relationship with God), physical life (health, recreation, leisure), family (parenting, marriage), work (business, profession), finance (stewardship, resources) and relationships (friendships, community involvement, social service, interdependence in interpersonal relationships).
Our priorities revolve around our roles in each of these areas: worker, parent, spouse (s), friend (s), colleague, employer (a), spiritual life. These roles, in many cases are out of balance. Can we spend many hours a day to our work activity, and neglect our role as a husband (a) or father / mother. Sometimes we work so exhausted to the point of neglecting our health. At other times we focus so much in our family that we lose sight of the people around us. Sometimes we lose our sense of proportion and balance.
Now, balance is not to live according to the status quo, or develop a mentality of "keeping things as they are?, Remain reluctant to change. Ron Jenson speaks of two kinds of balance: static and dynamic one. Static equilibrium, lacks dynamism, is passive and reactive, is closed to changes. While the dynamic equilibrium is active, for adaptation, it is open to change.
Life balance also includes maintaining an internal balance between the needs of the moment and our natural inclination, according to our personality traits and habits ingrained: vs. results orientation. emphasis on process vs task. people vs. structure. spontaneity vs. pragmatism. dreams.
7. Zarparé toward my goal, caring for others
Do I try to serve others? I have a direction to help meet the needs of others?
Optimize your life is manifested in the kind of relationships we have with others. Evidenced by the testimony of a person who radiates in its dealings with other love, harmony, fairness, kindness and wisdom. Is expressed in personal relationships richer, uplifting, deep and permanent.
Today, it is increasingly difficult to talk about deep relationships and uplifting. One of the byproducts of modern society is depersonalization. People have lost interest in people. Everyone is aware of your own needs, without worrying about the needs of others.
The culture that prevails in this age of individualism is that worships the ego, without giving priority to the support we can give to others. There is also a desire for wealth and the accumulation of possessions, which promotes individualism and self-interest on the contribution to others. Under this scheme the anonymity, indifference, laziness and neutrality are gaining ground on mutual support, solidarity and a focus on the contribution to others.
We need healthy interdependence. Life, by nature, is interdependent. Living beings are open systems that exchange with the environment, taking the elements necessary for their survival, but also leaving their contribution to life.
Interdependence is the basis for effective human interaction. Interdependence leads us to cooperation, synergistic relationships, trust in others, to work as a team, deep and meaningful relationships and personal growth.
8. Hard keep my course.
Will you persevere and continue forward in achieving my objectives?
People who achieve significant results are persevering. Everything worth really worth, we will take effort and time.
The first vaccine against rabies was produced by Louis Pasteur at age 63 after 25 years of research. Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin after 30 years of research. The patriarch Abraham was Isaac, the son of promise, after 25 years of long wait on God. Demosthenes went on to become one of the greatest orators of ancient Greece, after many years of strenuous exercises to overcome his stuttering. The Wright brothers crashed more than 500 scale models of aircraft, before getting put on the air the first self-propelled airplane. Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill won the presidency of their countries after a lifetime of defeats and political activity. In conclusion, achieving the desired results focus and perseverance demand our daily performance.
9. Rigorously alinearé my goals.
Do I make corrections on my way to realign with my mission and objectives outlined? What is the framework through which realigns my path?
Dr. Ron Jenson says that a frame of reference in the affairs of our life must include:
a) The governing purpose in vida.b) Your priorities vida.c) Your principios.d) Its peculiarities (differences and distinctions which identify weaknesses and strengths).
Aligning your goals is also strictly live approach. The approach is the ability to maintain a concentrated effort on a task and specific goal. The saying that the drop of water rock prayed for his strength, but by his forcefulness. The concerted effort produces amazing results.
10. Energizaré my inner life
Do you grow my character and spirit?
The power of man's life lies within. Behind every externally there is a power within. The external forms or structures provided are generated by an inner power. Power, which is internal, precedes form that is external and not vice versa. The man is a reflection of this principle.
The power is referred to the character and spirituality of human beings. His character is the root of their strength and spiritual core that gives life to the root. Respect Dr. Ron Jenson says: "We urge you to make a return to spiritual roots and to focus on character. These are the real basis for authentic personal power. What counts is who you are in the deepest recesses of his being, in the depths of their faith, their spiritual strength?. Your character determines who you are. What you are determines what you see. And what you see determines what you do. Your spiritual life is expressed through your character. That's why character development is central to the development of human life and, therefore, should be your prioridad.El character is, according to Stephen K. Mawell and others, "a conventional wisdom that results in consistent behavior?. We can see that the character begins inside the man (conventional wisdom) and is expressed externally (behavior consistent). That belief or internal conviction establishes guidelines by which the individual relates to the world and people.
The character defines all our external lifestyle, behaviors and attitudes. Focusing on the character is to develop the inner sphere of man (thought, choice, ways of relating to others, how you feel).
