Color Laser Printers
Color laser printers are computer peripherals that can print in color using laser technology. Color laser printers use a technology similar to that of photocopiers, with a drum and four toner, one for each color of CMYK. Provide high speed and print quality, low cost per printed page, although the purchase price is high, so they are mainly used in professional environments.
Features
Color laser printers use a technology based on electrical impulses. First the laser reproduces the document in the drum after drum toner ink capture, and finally transfer ink to paper. Use the CMYK color system, using four toner, one for each color.
Due to its high print quality, high speed, low noise, low cost per page and high purchase price, color laser printers are well suited for office and professional environments.
Here are the main characteristics of color laser printers:
Print speed: Color laser printers print the entire page rather than sections or lines, achieving a high speed. This is when the drum is heated, but we must keep in mind that before printing the first page should be heated drum, which takes some time. Print quality: laser print technology with high accuracy and high resolution dpi (dots per inch), providing high quality and avoid spilling ink on paper. Price of the printer: color laser printers have a purchase price significantly higher than other printers. Consumable costs: the cost of consumables per page is low compared to other printer types. Unlike ink jet printers, the toner does not dry out if not used, which is an advantage if intermittent use is made of the printer. Cost per page: valuing the purchase price and the cost of consumables cost per page get printed out to be much lower than other printers. Loudness: Color laser printers are quieter than other types of printers and this factor in workplaces such as offices.
Connectivity: Connecting the USB port is standard, but most color laser printers have network connectivity, both wired Ethernet and wireless Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Direct Printing: Most color laser printers support direct printing protocols (such as PictBridge) and can print images without turning on your computer, directly from digital cameras, mobile phones, USB sticks or memory cards. Multifunction Printer vs dedicated: dedicated printer although usually offer higher performance, the multifunction is a valid option for space saving and investment account, by replacing the printer, scanner, copier and fax with a high level of quality.
