Personal Brand Is A Place In The Mind
The consolidation of social networking and communication skills that gives us Internet have popularized the term "personal brand" and "personal branding". The question is to understand these concepts? For most people it is simply a brand name or a distinctive sign, a way to differentiate a product or service on the market. Delving a bit is easy to see that the value of the brand lies in the ability of differentiation offered when the market is saturated with seemingly identical elements.
The current job market presents very special characteristics in living the high supply of skilled professionals with generic studies sometimes away from the business reality and the low demand for unskilled and professionals that do not meet the selection criteria. This leads to structural unemployment feared to be added to that produced by the economic collapse and stagflation that we are suffering.
The importance of creating your brand
It is usual to have a negative view and wrong from the concept of personal branding as it seems to lead to the commodification of the individual that is sold like a product on the market. This is an erroneous statement:
Sells personal brand and communicate your talent, your experience and what you can do.
Sell as a person to rent your time and effort for a price for most of your life, not to recognize your talent, your ability or your merits. Now that's commodify and alienate the human being loses his freedom, identity and is weakened leaving others to take over your life.
When you try to get a job, develop an original and coherent brand increases your chances of success makes you a better choice.
A personal brand is not "frikimarca"
Not a day either on television, radio, Internet celebrity magazines or not we encounter a character acting and dressing like a mess, leading ultimately to the staff and management making a ridiculous study, targeted marketing. Although some may seem new concepts, differentiation and positioning are as old as humanity, are pure common sense. They are survival tools that allow us to be masters of our destiny.
